Timeline

36 Hour Hackathon (November 2024)

In under 36 hours, our team developed an augmented reality environment for all users including the disabled to share their closets and reduce fabric waste. I took responsibility of building the User Interface of the virtual closets and implementing them on Meta Quest 3. I used a combination of Figma, Unity, and C#.

Pitch & Demo Video

We managed to create a pitch video including demo footage to present to the judges of the hackathon. We received various positive feedback from judges from Meta, Snapchat, AWS, NVIDIA, and more as we advanced through multiple judging stages.

Reflections

Through this short-term rigorous project, I realized how XR has the potential to solve worldwide social problems like Fabric Waste by converting our vision towards clothing consumption. Rather than focusing on buying new clothes at the store, we can shift the focus towards our own and our friends' closets and exchange clothes we are interested in. The XR environment allows us to do this seamlessly without physically trying them on.
